The Red Square on Nørrebro

The Red Square on Nørrebro Denmark
Copenhagen, Denmark
The Red Square is located on the outer Nørrebro. A place summing of local culture and diversity. The site is designed by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels.

The Red Square lights up in the cityscape and is of course named after the red colour on the asphalt. In the square, you can do whatever you want to. Many skaters use the place as a meeting place, parents take their children so they can run around and play in the open space, or people take a battle in the boxing ring.

Locals often enjoy the sun on the many benches in the square. You can play, have a cosy time and relax on the fun and different round swings.

The site is the part of Superkilen People's Park, built in 2012. Superkilen consists of the Black Square, the Red Square and the Green Square. The places are located at Nørrebrogade and Nørrebrohallen.
