The National Museum is the State of Denmark's main museum for cultural history and conveys history and culture at various departments around the country. The National Museum is located in Copenhagen in Pinsens Palæ, and has several permanent exhibitions in the beautiful old buildings.
The National Museum's vision is to further develop the understanding and interpretation of cultural history in an exciting way. Cultural history must be accessible to all and the starting point for research and education.
There is therefore also plenty to discover and experience at the National Museum in Copenhagen. New exhibitions pops up continuously and activities, teaching, and guided tours create an exciting learning universe for all.
Fun for children is available at the Children's Museum at the National Museum. Here children can touch and try everything in the different exhibitions. You can visit the Julian restaurant when you are hungry. The food is inspired by the Nordic cuisine and is based on Danish food culture. In the museum shop, you can find books, jewellery, ornaments, museums, souvenirs, cards and posters, toys, and much more.
